Greetings from the Road!

I know what you’re thinking- where has this Jim guy been?  He spends the end of 2016 traveling the state, giving out free books and class coupons and now he’s just gone.

Sorry guys, you’ve just been keeping me so dang busy with classes!  We here at the Virginia LTAP have packed our schedule with classes and you’ve been filling every one of them.

One of the reasons we’re so busy is the large number of Work Zone classes we have scheduled. If you first earned your certification card in 2009 and then re-certified in 2013 you’re due to renew your card again this year!  We’ve been chock full of work zone classes around the state.

I’m writing this today from the Dinwiddie Eastside Enhancement Center where 14 of your fellow transportation professionals are taking the Basic Work Zone Traffic Control Workshop. Look at all those excited faces!

If you need to take a work zone class you can check out our website- uva-tta.net – for a list of classes near you.  If you have a group of workers who need work zone training please give Robin Carpenter a call!  She’d be more than happy to work with you on setting something up.  Her number is 434-982-2897, or you may email her at rhb3c@virginia.edu.

If you’d like me to stop by your office to talk about your training needs drop me an email at jwz9m@virginia.edu to schedule a visit.

I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
