Description

This hybrid online class will combine both live instruction and independent online work that you will complete during the day.  Independent work will include quizzes, readings, videos and short assignments.  Access to a computer with a webcam (either a camera that is built into your laptop or one that connects via USB), a reliable internet connection and a workspace that is free from distraction and noise will set you up for success.

Please note:  It is highly recommended that you utilize 2 computer display monitors during class in order to most efficiently navigate between the Auto DESK software and other class materials.

This 2-day class provides an introduction to the software and can be a refresher for those already familiar with its capabilities. Based on real-world examples, students have the opportunity to use Autodesk Civil 3D on a land development project, starting with basic surveying and including all other major components such as surfaces, parcels and sites, roadway design, grading, utilities, and plotted sheets.

You will need your own PC laptop with a minimum of 8 Gb RAM. Contact the instructor at chuckpietra@gmail.com for guidance on loading the software on your computer prior to class. Trial versions or free education versions are available at https://www.autodesk.com/products/civil-3d/overview.
