Description

This class is a one day intermediate to advanced class on Corridor modeling in Civil 3D. Transportation tools for corridors and vehicle tracking and analysis will be covered.

The two day Fundamentals class or a year of experience with using Civil 3D is a prerequisite for this class. The class will cover simple roadway design as well as advanced topics on highways. Interoperability with Autodesk Infraworks will be discussed.

The Class is designed for the Civil 3D user who wishes to learn about the Corridor Modeling features in Civil 3D.

Bring your own PC laptop with a minimum of 8 Gb RAM. Contact the instructor at chuckpietra@gmail.com for guidance on loading the software on your computer prior to class. Trial versions or free education versions are available at https://www.autodesk.com/products/civil-3d/overview.

Instructor

Charles “Chuck” A. Pietra

Chuck Pietra is Senior Technical Applications Manager for O’Brien & Gere Engineers where he heads up The Technical Application Group which manages all company technical software applications in the areas of CAD GIS environmental data management and construction management.

Chuck has been involved with the Autodesk reseller channel, and has authored several books and articles on CAD GIS and related topics. He is certified as an Autodesk Civil 3D Implementation Expert. Prior to his current position at OBG he owned his own Consulting firm which specialized in CAD and GIS implementation and training. Chuck frequently trains and guest speaks around the country.

Chuck holds a BA degree in Physics and a Master of Science in Physics both from S.U.N.Y Oswego
