FHWA is taking nominations for Build a Better Mousetrap 2023; Kickoff Webinar Scheduled for February 1 at 2:00pm ET
The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Build a Better Mousetrap program is a national recognition program spotlighting the use of innovative transportation solutions at the state, local and Tribal government levels. Last year’s winning solutions included a public survey tool for emergency events, a culvert cleaner, a sidewinder for clearing debris from along the roadway and a guardrail maintainer. FHWA received close to 70 nominations in 2022, which is a record for Build a Better Mousetrap. Ideas are everywhere and we want to hear how your innovative transportation solutions are lowering costs, improving efficiency and increasing safety for your communities.
Please contact your State’s LTAP Center and start working on your application today. Nominations are due to FHWA’s Local Aid Support team by Friday, June 9, 2023.
A kickoff webinar is planned for Wednesday, February 1st at 2:00pm ET. Register at this link: bit.ly/BABM23
