Mission:
The Virginia Local Technical Assistance Program fosters a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound transportation system by improving the skills and knowledge of local transportation providers through training, technical assistance, and technology transfer.
About Virginia LTAP
The Virginia LTAP serves the state by providing training, demonstrations, personalized technical assistance, resource materials, and other services to individuals and agencies responsible for managing and maintaining Virginia’s roadways. The VA LTAP is part of the National Local Technical Assistance Program Association (NLTAPA), which is composed of a national network of 51 Centers – one in every state and Puerto Rico – and the Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP), which serves tribal governments.
The VA LTAP is funded by the Federal Highway Administration and the Virginia Department of Transportation; the center is housed at the University of Virginia.
